french garden party

Every July 14, Parisians celebrate La Fete de la Bastille, which marks the fall of the Bastille prison and the first major event of the French Revolution (1789). Many argue that this event symbolizes the power of the people and is thus an iconic step towards French democracy. Today, much like the 4th of July, the occasion is met with food, fun, and of course, libations.  As such, we are celebrating like the French – one day early – with a French Garden Party.
